Farewell Breath

by Muhammad Muhammad Mayaki   Nov 3, 2017

How shall I be the lead
Taking you by the hand
To show you that door
And bid me a farewell flag

Though our hearts are burnt
Hands can't reach to hold
While bleak times unfold
The portrait keeping 'us' fell

Flowers of our bond withered
Emotions ashed and blown
For these worm filled wounds
Never shall heal, they think

If we can just shut our eyes
Then seal our lips and ears
Can't we again, find our paths
For our hearts still gasp

Let there be distances within
Stretch it to forever, if you will
These birds would seek their nests
For they are meant to be

If I shall breath again
I would breath, just you in
For every breath of me
Is laced with your fragrance

Wow. First of all, a warm welcome to the site, Muhammad. This piece has a beautiful tone and language...it has a certain air of tranquility as you read it. The message was moving, I felt it very much especially the last stanza.
