'Once upon a time' (Fate)

by Claudia Mollin   Feb 8, 2018

Once upon a time ,
there was a little girl,
whose innocence was evanescent.
He called her his 'Pearl',
but treated her anything but decent.

Persuasively, pretending the nice guy,
he made naive princess believe to fly, sky-high.
As she realized, there wasn't any heaven,
fatefully she was too craven.

The bright fairy-tale,
gradually began to pale.
His blows were getting worse,
why was she imposed with such a curse?

Trapped in an illusion,
she agreed to prostitution.
' You have to prove me, if your love is strong enough' ,
so she remained - tough.

But fate, it seemed, wanted more thrill,
he forced her paying all his bill.
Finally, with drugs, he broke her will,
knowing that they could even kill.

She died, a dreadful way,
on their anniversary day.
