Comments : Why can't you say, "I do."

This poem certainly evokes a feeling of sadness and defeat. It is very heartwrenching to read descriptions that describe a beautiful form of love, yet it is marred by the denied acceptance of marriage. Very sad.

    Nice work on this!

As stated this is deep so deep in fact it had me in tears even though it's simple... I've been here and for certain reasons was unable to say "I do" some things are never meant to be unfortunately but when one door closes another opens if you believe in yourself

Like it Lyn! It is simplistic in the wording but conveys all the emotions of a wounded soul. So many wonderful rhyming lines like; You look me in the eyes, I cried. You take away your hand, I died. Your poem touched me personally, as I loved a gal many moons ago, everything was there but she would not say; "I do". But time did heal a broken hearted me. Added to my Favorites.
