Sharper than a Knife

by Phoenix ¥   Apr 1, 2018

Limp and lifeless sat in the chair,
some might think I don't have a care.

How wrong they'd be,
as my head is full of wants and wishes,
Walks in the sun and dirty dishes.

Feeling useless and so inadequate
Can't be a good wife, mother, lover
Can't do the things we want to together

Accept it, surrender, go with the flow,
I won't, I can't , I want to go...

I thought I was getting better,
I thought I had a life
What a fool, how cruel,
Sharper than a knife.

A very emotional touching poem. Forgive me for any misinterpretation but sounds like it's full of extreme conflict?

Am sorry to hear about your frustration and being ill. Some times dark situations can be inspiration for writing. I hope that you get better very soon and get as much inspiration from feeling better. Keep writing I very much like reading your poems X
