Eternal Grudge

by Moe   Apr 21, 2018

When this rotten world falls,
I’ll be there to watch and laugh.
This world broke me,
ripped my heart out of my chest
and ate it while I watched in pain.
Left me to rot away without death.
To live without purpose or reason to exist.
It carved its runic incantations all over me,
so I shall never rest and never be set free.
It took everything I loved and burned it to ashes
then threw the ashes in my eyes.
So I’d be blinded by my own passions.
I curse this world with all my hate towards it
and all its hate towards me.
How many times have I called for help,
screamed and cried?
No one came to my aid.
No god came to smite the unholy beast.
I shan’t wait anymore.
I will jump atop the sky into the vast void, alone.
I will exile myself and escape on my own.
Yet I grow tired every day,
No heart to beat for me
And I know it is my mistake,
I ignored all the signs
and now I am paying the price.
Cursed and cannot be redeemed.
I’ll keep sinking deeper in this darkness
and when this world finally dies away,
I’ll let an ecstatic frenzy take me,
for I’ll devour it’s rotten flesh and set myself free.
To feel, to grief, to finally die in peace.

I like the dark gritty emotion here. Especially, I liked the image of blinding ones self with the ashes of your own passion. Super!
