Blue Crayon Box

by Angela Neumayer   Aug 18, 2018

I felt like a blue crayon box.
On the outside blue and sad
but on the inside full of color and life.
Just asking to be opened up
and used to make other's lives colorful.
But after a while your colors will become dull
after trying to make everyone else colorful,
and who likes dull crayons?
I used to be a full box
with a world of color and potential.
But now my colors are dull and broken
and here I am
after coloring other's worlds
just a sad blue crayon box.

Great write! I liked how you personified a crayon box to depict yourself.
