    Love to see a new form, especially one that isn't either a Rondeau or Sonnet.
    Whether its just my pronunciation, but I make line 1, 8 syllables.

    Every (2, or three ev-er-ree depending on how you say it or where you come from)
    Poem (2 Po-em) see above^
    has (1)
    a (1)
    Kernel (2)

    Funny thing is, I didn't start this comment out as a critique

    just naturally double checked when I reached your explanation

      Darren,
      I did consider these issues but decided that the syllables you reference are elided in normal (American) speech.
      By all means I think there is far too little critical analysis in these comments and both appreciate and applaud your advice.
