I can't wait to nominate this next week. This took my breath away. It was not only ethereal but brought me to a peaceful state of mind, how nature embraces us, how if we give ourselves to the Earth and let it help or heal us, it will give back to us.

I come back to this piece and I feel a sense of belonging, of wonder but mostly acceptance. That final image of the earth hugging her is personal and makes me feel both sorrow and comfort that she is being heard somehow.

At first read I thought that the adjective use was okay, nothing spectacular. Then I arrived at the final stanza. What amazing imagery. This poem doesn't take itself too seriously. I would say it is efficiently written throughout saving the genius for that final stanza. An easy 10 for me.

I feel like everyone has said all that needed to say about this piece but totally agree that last stranza just made this write.
