Despond

by Dayo   Mar 9, 2019

Fountain of hope is waning,
River of tears fills my heart
As I melt through harsh times
And I'm confounded more by agony.

It's within me to pull a fight,
But more than twice defeats is done me;
I yet try to grasp the bit I could,
But in fiasco it turns.

Mockery has been the trade game
And its blight is shown in me,
Yet I live to find solace
To which none I found.

My emotions is stained-glassed
And eyes can't see through the visage;
Horror and happiness is confluenced
To make the me.

    I really like this poem, enough to nominate it although there are a few little errors that I'm sure you can find and edit out. Nicely written once again.

      I appreciate your comment. However, I'll be grateful if you could help point out errors spotted so I may work on them; it was a spontaneous work.
