Time and Tide

by Muhammad Amiruddeen   Apr 6, 2019

Right at the depth of the desert,
Middle of nowhere is where I stand,
And doing nothing is all I do.

I'm thirsty and strand,
Yearning for the flare of adventure,
The deep and blue is where I put my sight.

The salty waters will quench my thirst,
Where shall I begin,
My dauntless quest to sail away.

All efforts kept in my idle gaze,
Pondering the way out of this sandy maze,
Time and tide is the sailors borne.
