My Seasons

by Biancas Veil   Apr 28, 2019

Death
Mourning
Renewal
Joy

Not many understand my reasons,
Why I associate these with the seasons.

Fallen leaves eclipsed by the shadows of bare trees,
An illusion of what was and what is to be,
The Autumn period where sunset colours are set free.

From sodden earth in winter we recoil,
The leaves will degrade and become the soil.

Green fields of spring a time for renewal,
Branches once bare hold flowers like delicate jewels.

Leaves rustling in the summer breeze,
Peace found in the shade of trees.

With this bright warming heat,
the circle is now complete.

Death
Mourning
Renewal
Joy

This is how I see my seasons,
Hope its clear now you see my reasons.

A wonderful poem and cleverly linked the four seasons to death and renewal
