Kris, this is excellent and perfectly depicts a desperate lover who doesn't know his role and whose romantic intentions are not reciprocated. In the end, if we truly care, then I suppose all we can do is 'lay on the ground in defeat' and be there - even as a friend - anyway. That's what true love is, after all: sacrifice. |

I think it happens quite often where one person wants more and never seems to get past the friend stage. But as Ben said loving is sometimes putting our own feelings aside and just being there as a friend at least. |
