Welcome, welcome, welcome to PnQ! Glad to have you here.

There's a sense of recklessness and passion bursting forth in this. The brevity is honest, like you will put anything forward to just cross paths with this person. That desire, that yearning to be felt and touched and "broken" by them makes me think of wanting someone to break through our facade. To make us feel, wild, uncontrolled, alive in some dangerous way.

Then, reading again, I could see this as a victory, a declaration that you are unbreakable and impervious to this person's hold over you. So even though they may come once more and make your heart bleed, you will rise again better than before.

    Keep writing!

Really glad you find meaning in my work, PoP. Sure will! I'm excited to read others work as well tbh!

Edit: It's fascinating how the writer can be enlightened on his work by the audience' interpretations, more than by himself.

This poem will resonate with anyone who has lived in the situation where their heart is continually being broken by the person that they love. It is a tale of unrequited love because if someone professes love they don't then continue to hurt the person they love. A harsh lesson to be learned but necessary for self preservation. Welcome to the site look forward to reading more. Milly x

I was in that situation, really. It was a very long time ago, I can still remember it vividly but it'd only bring a smile to my face :) but for the record, I'm not that naive like the speaker in this piece. lol
