The Kindred

by Mighty442   Sep 21, 2019

I thought I was the only one, none other like me
You thought I was fun, someone like me
We talked and we laughed, I found another like me
We held and choreographed, now you and now me

It didn't matter who we were before, didn't matter what we did
It only mattered that we are here, and nothing was hid
Was once there was two, can find to become one
No space, no time, for barriers there are none

Kindred spirits now formed, separation is pain
Lives be transformed, both are now changed
Paths converge into future, pace matched for pace
A tear in the suture, cause chase lost of face

So what happened before, will happen again
Past becomes present, cast a shudder and rend
Now two becomes one, one finds with one
All space, all time, for what's said is done

You thought you were the only one, none other like you
You thought you found fun, some things like you
You kindred and took flight, kindred like you
You let go and was right, no me, just you
A kindred me was for you, a kindred you was not me
