The Sound of Silence

by Tiffany M.   Oct 23, 2019

Sometimes the sound of silence is so loud, I can hear the walls shattering into pieces; the sound is a constant beating. I can hear the vessels of my heart bleeding.
My world feels so cold. The sound of silence is freezing. If you could hear the pain in the sound of silence you would hear the loneliness the violence.

Sometimes the sound of silence is so loud you don't know if you can survive it. You try really hard, but you can't hide it. You keep struggling, you keep fighting it.

When you think you are going to win, all it does is slow Down the sound; but like a clock you know it will come back around. Even in your dreams, you continue to hear the sounds/the screams. It's a repetitive nightmare of all the things you've seen. You do anything to drown out the sound, but as the pain takes control you fear you may never be whole. What if you are forever lost; forever alone?
