Given For Free

The tears are free falling down my face,
It still didn't stop you walking out of this place.

I'm lying here, my heads in a mess,
Yet all I can feel is an emptyness.

You told me you loved me forever & would always be true,
Yet one day you changed that, when I saw her with you.

Gone is the love that you'd given to me,
Broken is the heart that was given for free.

The hopes & the dreams that once made me life,
Now shattered forever like a blow from a knife.

Dark are the days & darker is the night
The darkness never leaves with the switch of a light.

Love is so hard & life can be tough,
Though nothing I had ever seemed enough.

This leaves me now with only one thing to say,
What can be given for free can so easily be thrown away.
