Other than the word ‘juxtaposition’, which I feel is a little jarring, this is a lovely, warm ode to the passing of autumn :)

Thank you Daniel. It was very jarring to be a part of this. I live in lower Michigan and we see very little snow and its usually not staying until January. We got close to a foot of it and frigid temps. Fall was gone overnight. Thankfully it warmed back up again and the trees started shedding their leaves so it's not so weird out there.

What a truly beautifully written piece of poetry, Brenda. Some lovely imagery and subtle uses of alliteration throughout.

Oh dear, Jack frost and his premature snow storm is an unwelcome sight.

    Great imagery here, Brenda.

    Hello Brenda,
Wonderful observations of autumn and composed with poetic flair and a keen sense of expression, as in, ‘donned her widow weeds’, picture-perfect. All in all, a marvellous poem.
    Regards, Tony.
