England

St George's cross upon our flag
The National Anthem plays
Sing loud, sing proud, sing for the lads
A country's breath, it waits,
The gasps, the cries, the hand in hands
Are all left here in the past,
Expectations at an all time low,
Could this be our time at last?
Three lions proud upon your chest
A shirt of red & white
your armour now, to face this test
With heart, with Strength, with fight
England.... we shout, our name
Come on the lads we say,
Play for the love of the beautiful game
We'd give anything to do the same,
A national bond, A united front,
together we must forge
Follow the spirit & win this one
For England & St George.

(I wrote this a while back)
