Streets of yesterday

by Ziad Dib Jreige   Jan 24, 2020

Streets of yesterday

Once busy, with sides replete
Full of tongues and ears
Beating with passion heat
Mocking the passing years

Once chattering full of noise
Adorned with restless paces
Blossoming girls and boys
Bounced in your spaces

Oh streets of yesterday, so still
Your are as painted on wall
What has befallen your thrill ?
What has silenced your call ?
