As someone that has invested a lot of time in their education, I have come to find that knowledge unlocks deeper layers to understanding. Deeper levels of existence.
The deeper the layers, the more that life is experienced on an intellectual level. Where one experiencing life on a shallow level, one day leaves their house thinking about all the trivial things, those on a deeper layer of consciousness are far more attuned to the fine detail, and the patterns of human behaviour are much more apparent.
Those swimming in the shallow end are allured by things such as nationalism, anthems, flags and blind patriotism. Like a child in the shallow end, unable yet to swim, such things are like arm bands and floats. The deeper one swims out, the more he discovers, and autonomy is found, along side it the ability not to be controlled by abstract notions which others do so easily offer to drown for.
