Salt

by Gayle Lu   Feb 19, 2020

Salt upon my cheeks, they fall upon the thought of once was, the blissful memories of what could have been and had.
Salt upon my palms, to shelter the face of shame, of grief, of pure emotions from the onlookers that are unexistence.
Salt a smell that flashes of all the sad memories washes in like waves crashing upon a cliff.
Salt the taste that lingers with my lost my pain my sorrow, taste that is unforgettable to any who linger.
Salt upon my lips, a taste that only leaves a bittersweet sting...
