Wingless

Sweet angel with the broken wings,
Music stopped it hurts to sing,
Darkness grows and the lights go dim,
Tell me you're not giving in.

See, the clouds are there to support you up,
With heavens love and a soft touch.
Hearts weren't meant to ache this much.
Tell me you're not giving up.

The rain kisses your soft warm skin
Hiding tears that escape from within,
The cold air blows a violent wind,
Tell me you're not giving in.

I see you in the dawning light
Where darkness fears to ignite,
You never fail to shine.
I'm telling you you're doing fine.

Angel you don't need those wings,
Your heart is strong enough to sing.
Let darkness go and shine from within
Show the world you're not giving in.
