This is a really interesting write, on first read I imagined this room to be a 'waiting room' while their soul figures out if it's meant to go to heaven or hell. It's not that but I really like that there's a lot of open-endedness to this poem. I also read this as an elderly person moving into a nursing home and/or even a poem about the quarantine!
I love second person point of view, I try to use it whenever I can and I love reading it as well. There is always this second side that I try to imagine, and it's very interesting to read how readers view it!!
Thank you ^_^
Wow star, you've just shifted to a whole new level. This is such a special piece. From the very first word to the very last lines. I could pick several favorite lines, but the white curtains' part must be the one that really hit me. This is sincerely one of the best poems I've read lately. Very inspiring.
