All that Love Is

by Lemon Squeezy   Apr 11, 2020

Note: (A poem written for my darling wife on her birthday)

Love is as kind as it is true,
It suffers long and is patient too,
Love is Envy-less, humble, and meek,
It thinks no evil thought of whom it seeks.

Love harbors not envy, anger or wrath,
But chooses to behave seemly on it’s path,
It ever rejoices in the truth so pure,
And nothing exists that it cannot endure.

Love has strength enough, to bear all life’s load,
It is selfless and believes nothing back is owed,
As a child, love finds hope in everything,
And always Believes, no matter what outcome life brings.

Love never fails in all these tasks,
It never wears false faces or mean masks.
To it’s form it always remains true,
And this is the way I will always love you.
