WHY DO YOU?

by HILLARY MUWANI   Jun 10, 2020

Do you want me to be like you?
Why?
Do you think I like to be.
Why?

Iam myself not yourself, mine not yours.
I believe in me, so why do I need to be you?
I belong to me not you.

Carrying this steriotype that I admire your class, why?
Probably you're wrong.
I admire myself and respect you only.
Don't mistaken me.

A man of myself I am, who believes in himself.
Poverty is not my name that I can't change.
Neither is it my body part that I can't pluck out.
I believe there will be dawn in my life.
A morning to a blissiful world.

By own means you built your success.
I also got own means.
So stop your red eye from torching my life.

My situation is not my spirit, that if I let it go I die.
It is just a chalenge, chalenging me to be strong for future chalenges.

So answer me!
Why do you think so?
Why do you?
