Who doesn't want to be happy?
Who doesn't want to be glad?
Yes, there are a few who don't seek it...
They are the ones who are mad
Happiness is everybody's goal
We want it with heart and Soul
Everybody wants pleasure, nobody wants pain
Nobody wants loss, everybody wants gain
And we think that money makes one happy
But we see the rich are not glad
They may have everything in the world
But in the end, they are sad
Things don't make us happy
Happiness is a state of being
It’s not what you have that matters
How you feel is everything
Look around, and you will find
It’s rare to find people smile
But happiness belongs to those
Who laugh all the while!
Everybody wants happiness, but nobody knows how
We don’t know that joy belongs to the NOW
You can’t be happy in the yesterday that’s gone
And you won’t find happiness in the tomorrow that’s not yet born
Happiness is a journey, not a destination
It doesn't depend on what may be your occupation
It doesn't matter what is your religion and what is your nation
Happiness can happen with simple meditation
Not one, nor two, joy has three peaks
Three are the peaks that everyone seeks
The first is Achievement, the second is Contentment
The third is rare - it’s called Enlightenment!
On the first peak, happiness is greed
It happens when you desire and fulfill your need
Happiness here is wanting more and more
We seek pleasure and wealth, but peace we ignore
When you transcend pleasure and you are seeking peace
With contentment you are happy, your desires cease
You are happy with the breeze, you are happy with the seas
But still from misery, there is no release
But sorrow and misery, they don't let go
The pain persists only more than before
All those who live, they suffer with pain
Except those who are lucky, the third peak they gain
Happiness in reality is very very simple
It’s when you smile and your cheek has a dimple
But most of us, we just cry and we die
We don't know how to be happy, and we don't find out why
Happiness in reality is a very simple tale
It’s not about achievement and your monetary scale
It’s when your Soul dances and there is joy in your heart
And when fear, worry, misery, and anger depart
