The Old Lover

by Lyn Aribaca   Aug 12, 2020

In the old rocking chair he was sitting
singing an old song with the birds humming.
In this very precious moment
his eyes drown in tears in seconds of silence .

Comforting himself with an old picture
he was holding his breathe so sure.
The pain in his heart that nothing can measure
He is missing my grandma once a lil' more

He whispered in the air softly
The only name he could ever remember
That name can make him smile again
but will make him deep crying' in pain
