Dear Covid 19

Dear Covid 19
You walked into our lives in between,
messed up our minds, routine,
and taught us a lesson to be clean.

To cover our mouths when we cough,
wash our hands and rub off,
To call the Doctor not layoff,
and stay home at all cost.

Humanity was no longer there,
No one had time to pray,
but today we raise our hearts not our hands,
and help one another face the bans,

Humanity is now being restored,
and no one is being ignored,
the little that made us bored,
are now what we have adored.

Cities, skies, are getting cleared,
from the fumes that we have smeared,
Churches, Mosque, and Temples have volunteered,
to shelter homeless, sick and wreaked.

So Covid 19, i don't know if you're a curse
or here to help restore humanity to what once was
to open our eyes, to look around and pause
and build our future based on pure love.
