Song 06 The Bohemian Bar

Song 06
The Bohemian Bar

Alone , alone, as if unknown
At the Bohemian bar I sat
I drank and drank until the tone
Of music was almost gone
Under my silly hat

Midnight passed me by
As if I was a stone
My head was low,
My glass was high
There she came to say hi.

Let's drink a glass or two
For a fresh and new start
She said and smiled at me
And I was drunk at heart.

We were two waves at shore
Breaking before we die
We drank a little more
We laughed she and I

We drank until the dawn
Was already there
And the heed of my own
Had left me unaware .

Let's go out, you and me
For a fresh and new start
She said and smiled at me
And I was drunk at heart.

We could barely walk
In Beirut cool morn
But we continued to talk
Until the sun was born

Until the sun warm rays
Scattered her face apart
Until she turned to haze
In the memory of my heart

Oh yes we spent the night
Even if we were apart
Alone , and that's alright
For I was drunk at heart.
