Your Five Sides I Love

by Walter   Oct 2, 2020

Love's not promised nor often found
And it doesn't always come around
So complicated for it to start
Includes all our senses and not just hearts

It can't rely on just your looks
As this will never write a book
But every time that you walk by
You always manage to catch my eye

Nor does it rely just on sound
So often silent and never found
A picture may say a thousand words
But your sweet voice needs to be heard

Not often does it rely on smell
Though this can put you in a spell
The moment you've been in a room
I'll sense you there from your perfume

The least of senses might be taste
Though this cannot be replaced
Because most of all that this will stun
This sense detected with our tongue

And it's even more than just your touch
Though this sense can say so much
Whenever I feel your smooth soft skin
Alone this sense makes love begin

But then our magic appears to start
As this will now involve our hearts
Only when we experience all the above
It's now we know that we've found love
