Ghoul (Sonnet 303)

by Cantchangeme   Oct 15, 2020

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee from thine navel to chest
My heart blinded, the knife knows thee best
For the ends of ecstasy and of space.
I love thee to the level of gods touch and grace
Quiet as is in me, by morn and sunlight
I must rip and tear, as beasts do by night
I love thee deeply, as deep to scrape the spine
I love thee with passion both burning and mine
Higher than lowest murmur and loudest scream
I love thee with a love others can but dream
I love thee with a love I shall forever miss
Walk with me, as lovers would, I shall lift thee up
And lead thee bloody into the abyss
