    I found myself holding my breath through the entire poem. Reminded me of the real ending of the little mermaid. This is really sad!

    I, too, had the same reaction as Star. I held my breath while reading. The strong imagery and depiction of darkness, is so tangible here. And sometimes, it takes all of us to not sink, but to just stay afloat.

    No darkness without light and no light without darkness, the oldest of stories and the oldest advice ever given. This is beautifully written, Tragic to read but beautifully written.
