Andrea, this is stunning. And heart-breaking at the same time. I switch between coffee and tea every other day or so, but your voice really came through, and has in past poems, about you being a coffee drinker. To me, the coffee resembles your authentic, bold self. But lately you've resorted to tea, something associated with calm but what you don't enjoy the taste of, and your voice and passions and feelings have been quelled or ignored, so you stay silent. You feel you aren't allowed to be your truest self.

This poem screamed to me, the kind of scream that we feel is so loud, but no one else notices. No one else listens, and we just want to be heard <3

Tea, especially sweet tea is offered to those people who are suffering shock, or need to calm down. This shows how a drink, although not your favourite, how your life has/is.

Enjoy your coffee while you can, you deserve the nice pleasures too!

    Take care x

It's sad but true. Lots of people don't enjoy tea, but it helps those who need to relax. It's wonderful and i loved reading it.

Very beautiful. It made me feel forlorn as I read, and I loved the last verse.
