Snow Casts

by BOB GALLO   Apr 22, 2021

Do you remember
in cold winters,
how whiteness used to call us at midnight
knocking on our windows
beckoning us,
pouring our hearts with whisper of hoary stories?

Do you remember
going outside, laying down on the deep snow
imprinting our shapes,
While reciprocally whiteness
brimming over our childlike spirit?

In those white casts of ours on snow
all my gold memory of you
are formed.
