Walks of Life

by Walter   Oct 25, 2021

The trees grow tall and bushy green
The clear blue sky is seldom seen
My footsteps first to make this trail
My lungs addicted as I inhale
Where the sounds of nature start to thrive
Where all earths creatures are alive
While the air a fragrance I breathe in
While morning dew forms on my skin

I miss this so when I return
I walk through crowds but this I yearn
When I look up towards the sky
When pollution is what will deny
And high rise buildings now in place
And the huge tall trees become defaced
My body craves for when I'd roam
My senses plead to go back home
