My Crime

All I ever did was love you
Is that a crime?
But why am I being punished
For doing this simple rhyme.

This is my way to let go
I hope you understand
This I say is just going with the flow.

Some said I have an addiction
Is that wrong for it to be for you?
So now I'm facing persecution
For something I didn't do.

I'm on my knees
Wondering why did you leave
Hoping you'll come back
I'm begging you begging you please
Waiting for that phone that never rings.

It feels that life has come to a stand still
My friends tell me to get out of the past
But I usually heal fast
And I now can't chill

When i walk out the door
I have to put on a mask
Cause i don't want to put my problem on tour
So my feelings are bottled up inside
This means they'll never die.

My crime and my addiction
They are one in the same
It's about my love for you
There was nothing I could do
I will take my punishment
which is my pain.
