The Passing Storm

by Cache Logan   Aug 5, 2022

Window view of tree branch and leaf matrices,
Distant thunder, leaves part for passing rain drops,
And as birds sing in the distance, my mind wonders to another shore.

Constant thoughts of love for her inundate my mind,
And now have become like a drum roll or even a symphony,
Music inspired by her kindness and inner splendor.

As clouds part and the storm moves on, sunrays penetrate the canopy.
All about, life is renewed, thirst is quenched, and seeds of life spring forth.
Moments like this reflect the simplicity of friendship and love we share,
Cause friendships endure storms and relish in sunshine and are eternal.
