Meet me in Malabon

May is celebrated again in Malabon,
were the infamous Bayluhan is on.
All was ready to dance once more,
to the rhythm of a sacred folklore.

Email was sent about her arrival.
To dance with me one more time,
At that celebrated festival,
happening in the month of May.

She'll meet me in Malabon.
In the same sleeve and long skirt,
made from the same scarlet rayon
which makes her standout like last year.

Enthusiasm never left my side.
Even at the event, when I arrived.
As if it was a child,
in frolic state of mind.

Occured again, my halcyon state.
Except her, everything was blurred out.
My heart mimic the banging drum,
as she danced the Bayluhan.

Enthralled again by her dance,
that didn't lost its grace.
Even when a year had passed,
she still made my heart beats fast.

I was too lost to her mystery.
Unaware that we arrived at Obando.
where all was bound to it's finale.
where she turned to my momento.

No more meet me in Malabon.
since she was expecting her firstborn.
No more come dance with me.
since it's their first anniversary.
