We reap what we sow

by Ricky   Aug 29, 2022

Unfortunately for me, I must live within this world I've made.
I cannot trade places, these are the roads in which I've paved.
Though I had the chances, and too many if we're really counting,
I cannot hide the fact, that internally I'm truly drowning.
Oh how I wish I could emerge, and you'd throw a line to me,
that may keep me just afloat, so I may escape this dark cold sea.
But when I poke my head above, from that depths of sorrow below,
I see nothing but empty vastness, I truly reap what I sow.
