The Rain

by BOB GALLO   Jul 7, 2023

A kiss hit me like a clout
and I instantly forgot my own whereabout.
I forgot all about
my being the right
owner of my faculties and might.
But that doubt
with another kiss
was washed instantly out.

I felt like to shout
but that thought also shriveled
when pleasure in my mouth
pressured in my veins to spout,
when your lips like a pelican
kept swallowing my indecision trouts,
when sweet salivation
rained
all over
my
drought.
