As I stood there, I saw you too,
Our eyes met, and I knew
The sincerity in your gaze
Filled me with love, in a thousand ways
You gave me all your attention and care,
But I caused you pain, it's not fair
Now I realized, it's hard to say
You were the one who got away.

    Hindsight is a wonderful thing and I'm guessing a good few of us have that one who got away. The trick is learning from our mistakes and being ready to embrace love when we bump into it again.
