Before saying good bye
in this short gentle way
there's a few things
that i will now say.
Behind this fake smile
that you seem to adore
is a greatly different person
you have never known before.
My soft eyes and gentle laugh
they aren't even real
but its not like you
ever even noticed a great deal.
When you look at me
and smile back
do you even see
the happiness i lack?
It seems to me
you can not see
all the loneliness
inside of me.
So I give you a hug
and say good bye
thats when you will finally realize
