Roller Coast

by MysteryMan   May 16, 2025

Dishes thrown across the kitchen’s floor
Tiptoeing across the shards of glass cuts my skin
It never quite hurt the same as the wounded scars you left
There was no comparison

When the moon comes forth and the sun descends
My heart feels every emotion at most
In all of light the sun’s earth bestow and transcends
Beneath the luminous stars darkness never felt so close

As my anger of your departure subsides into a shivering loneliness of cold
I allowed you to create this violence
My heart felt what my lips didn’t spoke
In all the noise in my mind unmatched my heart in silence

The heart felt the pain in much more magnitude
The rage of affliction of the world I tote
This body carried it all in solitude
The aftermath of this ROLLER COAST

Clouds of gray form into thunderstorms of the pain
So much of myself I gave in all of my flawed layers
Hiding the tears beneath the rain
Wearing a forced smile much like a suit unfitting tailored
