A beautiful baby boy entered this world
And life changed so much for the better with all that was to be unfurled.
Skip forwards, the toddler, playing with Lego. The roar of the Dinosaur,
The love for his cars as we played on his road rug,
Driving them all over the floor,
Oh the love felt for this boy
And his twinkling eyes filled with joy.
From a football team, the paleontologist dream, the cheeky face covered in ice cream.
My heart filled with the love I'd never seen.
To Guitar God, beard and hair
I'm so proud of you, son and so glad to share
In your life, yet I've missed so much,
There is nothing in this world that can touch
Upon the love that is felt for our children young or old
Forever in my heart I hold.
When you were born, so was I
A love so strong that could never die
18 years, some I regret, like the misplaced time we could have had
If I could do it again then I would to be a better dad.
And treasure every moment, every second with you.
