The Letter That Never Sent

by she   Jun 2, 2025

I am the letter that never sent..
folded with all I couldn’t say,
creased with hesitation,
stained in the quiet ink of restraint.

You’ll never read it.
Never trace the margins
where my hands trembled
trying to let go
without tearing.

Sealed with love..
not the kind that asks to be answered,
but the kind that knows
when silence is the kinder reply.

I left it behind
like a stone placed gently
on the memory of us...
not to be picked up,
just… honored.

You needed room to heal.
And I?
I needed to be brave enough
not to be needed anymore.

So I became the unsent...
not because I had nothing left to give,
but because loving you
meant not giving it.
