Sprung

by Guilty By Design   Aug 2, 2025

When it comes to you
there’s a lot I thought I’d never do
but I can’t help myself,
I’m sprung on you.

You’re something I didn’t see coming,
an impossible thing come true,
like stars aligning for a second
just to let me run into you.

I played it cool, stayed in my lane,
said love was just a passing flame,
but now I’m out here breaking rules,
writing verses with your name.

You’re the calm before the chaos,
a storm I don’t fear to chase,
I’m lost inside your orbit,
every thought, your voice, your face.

This wasn’t part of the plan,
but nothing’s ever felt this right.
You turned my maybe into certain
and my dark into light.
