Last Night

by Marceline Little   May 2, 2026

Last night I left my fan on
A glimpse of a memory of a past life
Shining, but dissolving so quickly.

Last night I left my fairy lights on
The warm yellow glow hitting me harder then ever before.

Last night I couldn't sleep
A bed for two only half-used
A half-assed apology half-written

Tonight
I do the same
I try and fill the space with my plushies and pillows

But it all smells like you
And I hate it
I hate you
I miss you
I loved you
