Twenty Klondike bars

by Beautiful Tragedy   Jun 28, 2026

“I’d eat twenty Klondike bars in order to do that with you.” I’d said-
We were arranging a day to get together and have drinks after I told you I’d much rather drink with you.
And I think that’s it’s a universal language now;
And one of the healthiest things I’ve experienced,
Wanting to be with you doesn’t stop me from enjoying where I am.
And the “you look amazing” message you’d sent after receiving a bathroom selfie of me in a hoodie still melts me-
it lives rent free in my brain in the way you do in my heart,
More than the wings at Quaker steak do.
I’ll never take you for granted.
“I’d eat twenty Klondike bars in order to do that with you.” I’d said-
Because the depth of how much I love spending time with you could only be measured in Klondike bars,
And I’m not sorry.
