The branches of the trees
They hardly move
There is no breeze
But the park it has its groove
The sun beats down
The ducks on the water have their own beat
The water is so still
Unlike the hustle of the street.
And I could sit for hours
At one with natures gift
Leave the world far behind
With its chaos and endless rift.
I could sit under this tree
Until my hearts last beat
Away from the evil of this world
And the hustle of the street.
Just me with my notepad
And maybe my guitar
My lover by my side
Holding hands under the stars
Once the park has emptied
We could make some love
with only nature as our witness
And the lord from up above.
As I sit here watching
Pigeons play and ducks glide
The water fountain still sprays
Upon the lake in all Its pride
As the sun reflects
So do I, on to this sheet
In this tranquil landscape
Away from the hustle of the street.
