The mind
Such a scary place to be in
So many thoughts, damaging and deadly
And some, where hope and great ideas begin.
A vast universe where everything you are, lives
Yet also the place where everything you are not, eats you
Chewing away at itself, making it smaller,
Making you smaller, until you feel invisible
Until you feel worthless and insignificant
Like you don’t even matter
Like you have nothing to offer
Like you are nothing
But it’s not you, it’s your mind
And your mind really isn’t your friend.
You are BETTER than your mind!
